The zips allow you to open the dress as much as you need, and then pull the zip down for modesty as your babe feeds. Typically it is easiest to use both hands to open the zip for feeding, but as babe falls into the sleepy milk-drunk state, you can use one hand only to pull the zip closed without disturbing that tiny little babe.
The sleeves are puffed at the top, and then elastic at the bottom. Also, deep pockets to carry all of the things!
