About Miles Away Co

Hi, my name is Emily and I am the girlie behind Miles Away Co.

Miles Away Co. began whilst in the trenches of motherhood. It grew out of the frustration of standing in front of my wardrobe staring at all the clothes that just didn't work for me anymore.

After having a baby, I realised something no one had really prepared me for:
it was incredibly hard to find clothes that worked for my new body and my new life.

Everything I had found that was “breastfeeding-friendly” had awkward side zips that never lined up with where a baby actually fed from, which I always found a bit odd. My boobs were bigger, by back was more broad and my days had certainly changed. However, the clothes just didn’t seem to fit the brief.

So I started sketching.

I wanted something simple and beautiful.
Something you could wear to the park, to the café, on the couch, or to an appointment. A dress to feed your baby easily but discreetly.

That first dress was just a drawing… until it wasn’t.
And when I tried it on, it felt exactly like what I had wanted: soft, flattering and easy to feed a baby.

But motherhood is full. Life is full. And those early designs ended up folded away in my spare room for years(!) along with a massive dose of imposter syndrome.

Still, the feeling persisted. Particularly after my third baby. Because I knew this to be true: mothers don’t stop deserving to feel beautiful just because their bodies have changed. Ir just because you are the mum now.
Women don’t stop deserving softness, care, or clothes that actually fit the life they’re living.

So Miles Away Co. came back, but this time with a deeper purpose.

Not just for breastfeeding mums. But for all mothers. Breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, healing, surviving and thriving each day. You deserve to feel comfortable, confident, and able to walk out the door with ease.

This brand exists to remind women that even when everything feels different, foreign or hard, you are still worthy of feeling beautiful.

So here we are, a little spot on the internet just for you. The new you, miles away from where you were.

We can do this parenting thing, one repeated cycle of surviving-and-thriving at a time.
