Sizing & Fit

I'm not sure what size to order - help!
We know sizing after having a baby can feel overwhelming. Your body is changing and that's completely normal. Every product page has a size guide image with measurements, plus a fit note to help you choose. If you're still unsure, email us at milesawayco@outlook.com with your bust measurement and height and we'll point you in the right direction. We genuinely love helping with this.

Do your clothes fit postpartum bodies?
Yes! That's exactly what they're designed for. Every piece at Miles Away Co. is made with postpartum bodies in mind. Soft bellies, changing breasts, bodies that are healing and shifting. Our fits are forgiving, relaxed and designed to make you feel good right now, not when you've "bounced back."

Do your sizes run true to size?
It varies by style, which is why every product page has its own fit note. Some pieces are true to size, some are designed to be oversized, and some we recommend sizing based on your bust. Always check the individual product fit notes and size guide before ordering.

What if I'm between sizes?
As a general rule, we recommend sizing up for comfort, especially in the postpartum period. For oversized styles, you may prefer to size down. Each product page has specific guidance to help you decide.

What sizes do you carry?
We carry XXS-3XL across most styles, because every mother deserves to feel welcome here.

Breastfeeding & Feeding Access

Which pieces are breastfeeding-friendly?
Our breastfeeding-specific pieces include The Wildflower Dress, The Meadow Dress, The Sage Dress, The Midnight Dress, The Everyday Linen and The Breastfeeding Blouse. All designed with discreet feeding access. The Liv Dress can also be worn reversed for feeding access. Each product page clearly notes whether a piece is feeding-friendly.

I'm breastfeeding, will your non-feeding pieces still work for me?
Many of our relaxed styles work well for breastfeeding depending on your preferred feeding style. If you're unsure, send us a message and we'll help you find the right piece for your feeding journey.

How does the zip feeding access work?
Our breastfeeding dresses feature two discreet long vertical zips over the bust. Open as much as you need, then zip down gently for modesty while your baby feeds. No awkward side zips just easy, practical access that actually lines up with where your baby feeds.

Ordering & Shipping

How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are packed and dispatched the next business day. Standard shipping is 2-7 business days and express shipping is 1-3 business days via Australia Post. You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order is on its way.

How much does shipping cost?
Standard shipping is $15 and express shipping is $19. Orders over $250 receive free standard shipping. Because treating yourself should feel completely guilt-free. We are very sorry at the expense of shipping, it is an ugly beast for small business. 

Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within Australia only. Watch this space, we hope to expand in the future! 

Can I change or cancel my order?
We pack and dispatch orders quickly, so please contact us at milesawayco@outlook.com as soon as possible if you need to make a change. We'll always do our best to help, but we change an order once it's in the hands of Australia Post. 

Do you offer Afterpay or PayPal?
Yes! Both Afterpay and PayPal are available at checkout so you can purchase on your own terms. If you choose to use your bank card, it is all managed securely through Shopify - we don't see any details.
Please note: both AfterPay and PayPal do carry a hefty fee for each purchase made. We want you to feel secure in your payment method of choice, but it doesn't help small businesses. Just something to be aware of, as I don't think many are aware of this. 

Returns & Exchanges

What is your returns policy?
If your item isn't quite right, you're welcome to a refund or replacement within 21 days of receiving your order. Items must be unworn, unwashed and in their original condition with tags attached. Return postage is at the customer's expense.

My item arrived faulty - what do I do?
We're so sorry! Please email us at milesawayco@outlook.com within 7 days of receiving your order with your order number and a clear photo of the issue. We'll sort it quickly, and if the item is confirmed faulty on arrival, we'll cover the return postage.

Can I return a sale item?
All sale and discounted items are final sale and cannot be returned unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.

Product Care

How do I care for linen pieces?
Linen loves a gentle cold machine wash. Hang to dry, avoid the dryer where possible as heat can shrink linen over time. A light iron or steam will keep it looking beautiful, or embrace the natural relaxed texture, that's part of the charm.

How do I care for cotton pieces?
Gentle machine wash with like colours, a good flick out of the machine, hang dry and straight into the cupboard. Easy, just like the dresses themselves. 

Will the colours fade?
Washing in cold water with like colours and avoiding direct sunlight when drying will help keep your colours vibrant for longer.

About Miles Away Co.

Who is behind Miles Away Co.?
Miles Away Co. is owned by Emily - a mother of three and a midwife. After struggling to find clothes that worked for her postpartum body and busy life, she started sketching what she wished existed. Three babies later, MaCo. is designed for all mothers, in all seasons of motherhood.

What does "Miles Away Co." mean?
You are miles away from who you were,  and somewhere in the thick of becoming who you're meant to be. The name is a reminder that change, even when it feels hard and unfamiliar, is part of something beautiful.

Are your pieces made in Australia?
Our pieces are designed in Australia by Emily, with love and real motherhood experience behind every detail. All the garments are made in Vietnam.
